From books to television shows, magazines and infomercials, there are a million different “authorities” on exercise and nutrition, each one selling a product or touting the latest get-skinny-quick scheme. For the average individual consumed with work, family and life; filtering truth from BS is difficult. At best you find something that works initially, then your progress plateaus and the routine gets boring, then you backslide to where you were at the start, just older. This is not a pattern for success. That is what we’re here for. Our mission at Crossfit Tacoma is to teach intelligent exercise. We run daily group classes, develop personal in-house and outpatient programs, and will even come to your house to help you design and set-up your home gym. Below is a list of our services. Crossfit Classes Our bread and butter. Daily group classes are led by an experienced coach. We design the workouts, lead warm-up, teach the movements, supervise and give feedback, record progress, and lead cool-down and recovery. All you have to do is show up. Outpatient Not everyone has the time or inclination to make to the gym on a regular basis, but they do want to learn to exercise better. This program consists of 6 private meetings where we coach you through essential movements and teach useful workout templates. Based on what equipment and resources you have available, we’ll design a 6 week program for you to take with you. Inpatient This is a program for people with particular needs. These tend to be people on either end of the fitness spectrum. There is the firebreathing iron bending individual who wants that 500 pound deadlift, or the new mom with an old knee injury. We design individualized programs to meet the needs and goals of the individual. The workouts themselves can be done in the gym or elsewhere depending on the situation. Home gym consultation Although nothing is as effective as training with others, there is something just plain awesome about having your own home gym. But what do you need? What can you do with the space you have? Where do you get the equipment without getting scalped? We will come to your home, compile an equipment list, order them for you, and even help you set up. Intensive Body Composition Change Our most structured program. We take all of the guess-work out of losing fat and building muscle. We tell you what to eat including your grocery shopping lists, have daily check in and workouts, and frequent re-evaluations. The program lasts for 12 weeks. If at the end of the program you are not satisfied with your progress we will completely refund your payment. Privates and Drop-ins Perhaps you know what you’re doing but want to get some coaching on that one move. Or perhaps you’re from out of town and just want to workout a couple times. We can accommodate you.
